Macaroni Alforno with Beef & Peppers

A quick take on an Italian classic. In this recipe, Prego® Carbonara Mushroom, Prego® macaroni and beef, thinly sliced/ beef bacon come together for a great taste.

WHAT YOU'll NEED

    g PREGO® Macaroni, cooked & drained

    can / 350g jar / ½ jar 665g PREGO® Carbonara Mushroom Pasta Sauce

  • 200

    g beef, thinly sliced/ beef bacon

  • 4

    tbsp olive oil

  • 1

    yellow onions, diced

  • 4

    cloves garlic, sliced

  • 1

    red pepper, sliced

  • 1

    cup grated Mozzarella cheese

  • Salt & pepper to taste

HOW TO MAKE IT

    Sauté beef/beef bacon in olive oil until slightly crispy, add onions, garlic, peppers and continue cooking until vegetables is wilted. Add macaroni and toss to mix. Transfer into baking dish.

    Reheat PREGO® Carbonara Mushroom pasta sauce in a saucepan until hot, and season to taste with salt and pepper. Then pour the sauce over the Macaroni.

    Sprinkle the Macaroni with Mozzarella cheese. And bake for 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the top is golden.
